The Big Rocks team is professionally trained to pack your items to keep them safe throughout the moving process. Please note that Big Rocks does not provide “stand-alone” packing services. We value building relationships with our clients and offer packing services within the scope of move-management projects.
We will be there for you on move day for a smooth, stress-free transition. Our team works directly with the movers. You can even take the day off or go on vacation and the Big Rocks team will handle all of the details.
We offer on-site consultation at the origin and destination sites. First we’ll confer with you about your plans for the space. Then we’ll measure, photograph and create an inventory of furniture and art to be moved, design plans and discuss revisions with you. Knowing exactly what you are bringing and where it will go ensures an efficient and cost-effective move.

Once you are in your new home, our top-notch team will unpack your belongings and set up customized systems. Your home will be functional, beautiful, and organized – ready for you to relax and create new memories.

Working with an organizer can feel like stepping into new territory. Here is our process:
1. SCHEDULE A FREE EXPLORATORY CALL
When you schedule this call, you’ll be asked questions that will help us understand more about your project and situation. During this call, we will see if we are a good fit for your needs. We will also determine if an on-site consultation and written estimate are needed to gather more information about your moving project and provide a detailed cost estimate. 2. SESSION SCHEDULING
Once we have scheduled your project, you will receive an introductory email with the photo, bio and direct contact information of your project manager. We will bring all of the supplies needed and will flatten boxes and move packing materials to a space designated by you. We will unpack according to your priorities and set up customized systems.
3. FIRST SESSION
A minimum of 3 hours per organizer is required for each on-site session. If needed, we can arrange for a third-party hauler to remove boxes, packing materials and any other unwanted items. Upon request, we can line shelves and recommend organizing products. We are also happy to assist with tune-ups and ongoing maintenance.
4. COORDINATION WITH THIRD-PARTY VENDORS
We are connected to the best resources all over the Portland Metro area and have extensive knowledge of who to use and where to donate things. Our third-party vendors include:
- House cleaners
- Interior designers
- Specialized furniture companies
- And more!
